The Green Matters Conference, a national symposium that's part of the Concrete Décor show, is coming to San Antonio Feb 23-24 (Henry B. Gonzales Center). 

ASCE Corpus Christi Branch members should take advantage of this nearby opportunity to hear national and regional experts share new information on concrete and sustainability.  Continuing education credits are available.  The Cement Council of Texas, in cooperation with conference organizers, is has announced discount pricing (until January 31st) of 10% off the regular conference rate.  Additionally, the show organizers will contribute 5% of your registration fee to the Texas State University Concrete Industry Management program. If you were running out of time for the upcoming ASCE abstract submittal deadline on December 16th for the Spring Section meeting in San Antonio (during Fiesta!) don’t worry as the deadline will be extended by a couple of weeks to encourage you to finalize and submit your abstract. Presenters will be notified in mid-January of acceptance, but as a rule of thumb if you submit, you will usually be a presenter.
